MCNCD Decennial Review

Blue title box with an image of city hall and the title, Mid Cambridge NCD Decennial Review, in white letters.

Neighborhood Conservation Districts (NCDs) consist of buildings that have been recognized as architecturally and historically distinctive and are created to encourage the conservation of neighborhood character and significant architectural features, while allowing many other changes to take place. The NCDs review new construction, demolition, and alterations visible from a public way.

The decennial review of the Mid Cambridge NCD, required by our ordinance, will study demographic and housing trends, history of the neighborhood and establishment of the NCD, summarize the activities of the NCD over the last decade, and make recommendations on changes to the boundaries, guidelines, and/or procedures of the NCD. We encourage you to attend, ask questions, and comment.
