Reconstruction of the Fire Headquarters building at 491 Broadway continues on schedule!
Photos from Thursday, December 18, 2025 show the continuing progress.
Site work, as well as interior, roof and exterior work continues. Installation of interior mechanical systems, fire protection systems, and utilities is ongoing. New stairways are in place. Installation of interior wall studs & interior walls on all floors is progressing.
This facility, the home of Engine 1, Ladder 1, Rescue 1, Fire Prevention, Tech Services, the Command Staff and Administrative Offices, was originally occupied in February of 1934.
