The interior of Dive 1 is maintained neat, clean, and orderly, and is ready for immediate response when needed.
It provides complete SCUBA (self contained underwater breathing apparatus) units, spare air cylinders, dry suits, communications systems, decon equipment, safety lines and ropes, lights, accountability/safety system, spare parts, rescue and EMS equipment, hand tools, and much more.
It also provides shelter from the elements if needed, when divers are donning or doffing equipment. (Note that the Cambridge Fire Dive Rescue Team responds in every season, including winter ice conditions).
Dive searches are supplemented by equipment available on the Marine Units, Rescue, Squads & other companies as needed, such as sonar, scene lighting, and ladders.
Dive 1 is a Ford F450/Road Rescue, four wheel drive truck, which is used to support the Cambridge Fire Dive Rescue Team during water search emergency incidents.
