In the quarter ending on March 31, 2026, Cambridge fire companies responded to 3,913 Emergency Incidents which generated 8,679 responses.
This included 18 building fires, 283 fires of all categories, 1843 EMS calls, 56 elevator rescues, & much more - including carbon monoxide investigations, hazardous materials responses, gas, electric, & steam hazards, fire alarm activations, water & ice rescues, entrapments, and public service calls.
The Lafayette Square Firehouse (the quarters of Engine 2, Ladder 3, and Squad 2) was the busiest in the city, with 1800 responses in the first quarter of 2026.
