Working Fire Box 45-624: at 236 am (15 Mar), box 624 was struck for the fire on floor 5 of the 6 story brick & wood apt bldg at 1654 Mass Av. Rapid & aggressive attack by the 4 engines, 3 ladders, 2 squads, the Rescue, & command units contained & knocked down the fire. The building was quickly evacuated and there were no injuries to residents but a few minor injuries to firefighters. Two cats in the fire apartment on floor 5 were safely located and returned to the owner.
