The library provides federal 1040/1040SR tax forms and instructions and Massachusetts state tax forms. We are also able to print forms from the IRS website and from the Massachusetts Department of Revenue website.

Tax Assistance
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) volunteers will provide free tax assistance at the Cambridge Public Library on Saturdays from February 15 to April 12, 2025. Sessions will run 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Main Library and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central Square Library. There will be no sessions on March 15 or 22.
Appointments are required. Starting Saturday, February 1, an intake form will be available at https://www.cplvita.org/tax-assistance. Volunteers will email or call those who have filled out the form to assess their tax preparation needs and assign the appointment slots.
