Cambridge Public Library to Welcome Alejandro Varela, Author of Middle Spoon, for Hispanic Heritage Month

On Tuesday, September 9from 5-7 p.m., the Central Square Branch Library will host a Great Big Tiny Art Show. Tiny paintings created by patrons and staff will be on display. Light refreshments will be served.

Over the summer, the Central Square Branch held a series of Paint Nights where patrons could create their own tiny masterpieces to contribute to the gallery. The Great Big Tiny Art Show was an all-ages, community art project held at the Central Square Branch in July and August. Participants ranged in age from 17-months-old to 65+.

The Tiny Art Gallery will be on display at the Central Square Branch through September.

Central Square Branch Library, which opened in 1976, is located just one block from the Central MBTA Red Line station and serves the surrounding neighborhoods of Cambridgeport and The Port.  Central Square Branch is home to the Library’s adult literacy program and Black Voices collection.
