Songs, Stories, and Conversation in Mandarin (Valente)
Join us for an hour of songs, stories, and social meet-up in Mandarin Chinese with JingJing and Chelsea, two local mothers and educators. This fun and interactive session brings families together in a warm, welcoming environment.
This event is for children and their caregivers. In the first half, listen to engaging stories and sing lively songs. In the second half, children will do an activity, and everyone will have an opportunity to socialize.

CANCELLED - CPL Nature Club: Nature Story Time at Alewife Brook Reservation (O'Neill)
This morning's program has been cancelled due to rain. Please join us on Wednesday, September 17.
Children and families can join us for an outdoor story time and short walk at Alewife Brook Reservation. We will meet at the seating area on the bike path near the Alewife Brook Pathway and DCR Wetland Boardwalk: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CC32nJqG1Xk3b5zDA. There is no parking available on-site. Parking is available at Alewife MBTA station or limited on-street parking on Cambridgepark Drive.
No registration is required.

Puzzle Swap (Main)
Donate your gently used jigsaw puzzles and browse a collection of fun new puzzles to take home! Puzzles of all sizes for all ages are welcome.
No more than 5 puzzles per person/group if you are dropping off in advance. ONLY 1 puzzle if you are donating at the swap.
Donation policy:
Make sure your puzzle has all the pieces
Rubber band or tape the box so it won't fall open
Drop off puzzles at the Main Library Q&A desk Monday April 14 - Wednesday April 16
Cookbook Book Group (Collins)
May Selection: The World Central Kitchen Cookbook: feeding humanity, feeding hope
Join friends and neighbors for a potluck! Try a recipe and bring your results or thoughts to share and discuss with other cooks. All experience levels welcome. No need to bring a dish to join.
Books will be available for pick up at the Boudreau and Collins Branches during library hours.
This event will take place indoors at the Collins Branch (64 Aberdeen Ave).

Get more practice with Google Drive! Learn some tips and tricks to organize your files and images. Google Drive is your online file storage that is connected to your Gmail account.
A Gmail (Google) account is required for the class. Please remember your Gmail and password, you will need them to sign in and practice during the class.
Laptops will be provided for the class.

Climate Action Book Club (Collins)
Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action.

Sewing 101 with Cambridge Wildlife Arts
This special edition of our Sewing 101 is offered in collaboration with Cambridge Wildlife Arts (Green Cambridge). In this 90-minute workshop, you'll learn the basics of sewing machine operation and safety. This session will cover machine setup, basic functions, threading the machine, reloading the bobbin, sewing straight stitches, and recognizing when stitch tension has gone awry. We’ll also cover some safety best practices when operating a sewing machine. As we learn together, we’ll work on a simple sewing project—hemming blank banners for the Banners Project launched by Cambridge Wildlife Arts.
Short Story Reading Group (Central Square)
Drop by the Central Square Branch's Lewis Room to read and discuss “No Flesh Over Our Bones" by Mariana Enriquez. Copies of the story will be provided, along with snacks. No preparation is needed. Registration helpful but not required.
