Join the Valente Branch for their new book group! This group will meet monthly to discuss a mix of fiction and nonfiction books. The June selection will be The Skin and Its Girl by Sarah Cypher. The Second Annual Spelling Bee with take place on Thursday, June 20 at the Main Library.

You’re invited to our November Brewery Book Club, where Lamplighter and the Cambridge Public Library team up to highlight contemporary works from marginalized voices while having a beer. We meet at Lamplighter Brewing Co., 284 Broadway, in the back taproom. This month we’ll read We Will be Jaguars: A Memoir of My People by Nemonte Nenquimo. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. The Hastings Room Reading Series and the Cambridge Public Library are excited to welcome two award-winning poets to the Library for a poetry reading. Denise Duhamel and Martha Collins will both read from recent works. The reading will take place in the Main Library's Community Room at 7 p.m. on May 1, 2025.
