Youth Employment

We’re Hiring! Would you like a job at the Cambridge Public Library? Apply to be a Library Page! As a Library Page, you will help put away books, make sure books are in the correct order, and keep the library tidy. 

Eligibility: You must be a current high school student between the ages of 14-18 who lives or attends school in Cambridge. You must also be able to obtain a valid work permit. 

Pay: $15 per hour 

Schedule: 7.5 hours/week, after school. This is an ongoing position. 

Location: Listed below are Page positions currently open at the Main Library and Branch locations. This position will work 7.5 hours a week within the available hours listed under each location: 

  • 2 positions at the Main Library (449 Broadway), Borrower Services Department, Monday – Thursday, 3-6 p.m., Friday, 3-5 p.m. 
  • 1 position at the Main Library (449 Broadway), Youth Services Department, Monday – Tuesday, 3:15-7 p.m. 
  • 1 position at the Central Square Branch (45 Pearl St), Tuesday – Wednesday, 3:30-6:30 p.m., Friday, 3:30-6 p.m.
  • 1 position at the O’Neill Branch (70 Rindge Ave) – Monday, 5-7:30 p.m., Thursday – Friday, 3:30–6 p.m.
