The Main Library "Healthy Mouth, Healthy Life" workshop has been cancelled. We apologize for the inconvenience. The Harvard School of Dental Medicine’s Students for Smiles Club and the Cambridge Public Library are hosting a free community event on oral health. Attendees will learn how to brush and floss the right way through a short talk and hands-on practice. The program will also share simple tips for preventing common dental problems and explain when to see a dentist. Free toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and local dental care resources will be available for everyone.

Join the Collins Branch Library in collaboration with the Cambridge Climate Leaders Initiative for a monthly discussion of a climate-related topic. Each month the group will discuss a book on the topic at hand then hear about a related local program or initiative and how you can take action. Books have been reserved for the group and may be picked up at Collins. Lights of Your World is an introductory astrological workshop with Laura Campagna that uses the birth chart as a portal for engagement with the cosmos. We will explore how the planets connected to the location of your Sun, Moon, and Rising help us gain insight and understanding into our own essential nature. In this fun 2-hour workshop, we will explore the seasons, elements, and planetary days of the week, color, and gems to enchant your life through astrology. For full participation, please bring your complete birth data: date, time, and location.

The climate is changing, and we're all here on the planet together. Join us for a monthly community gathering and discussion of a variety of books about climate change. We will share thoughts, resources, and occasionally host special guests in a welcoming small-group environment. For our inaugural meeting, we will discuss Walden Warming by Richard B. Primack. Copies of the book are available at the Main Library Q&A Desk. E-book copies of the book are available to borrow immediately on the Hoopla app. Registration is required. PARK SOUNDS 2026 brings free outdoor musical performances featuring local artists to the front lawn of the Cambridge Public Library Main Branch. These events are all-ages.
