Cambridge employers and hiring managers are invited to this interactive workshop with Océ Harrison, who has directed the Institute for Human Centered Design’s New England Americans with Disabilities Act Center since 2001 and provides ADA Title I Employment trainings throughout New England. With more Americans needing workplace accommodations, it makes practical sense for employers to implement principles of universal design in the workplace. Dr. Harrison will demystify the relationship between the ADA and universal design, and show examples of universal design in the workplace that benefit everyone.

You will:

  • Untangle the relationship between the ADA and universal design
  • See the principles of universal design in action (or implemented in the workplace)
  • Get resources for employers

Coffee and Networking 9:30 - 10:00 AM
