Senior Centers & Council on Aging

Seniors Dancing at a Party

The Council on Aging (COA) works to promote and safeguard the health and independence of Cambridge seniors over the age of 60. We arrange many necessary services and provide many meaningful social and recreational options that help enhance our senior’s lives.

The Council on Aging/Cambridge Senior Center (806 Massachusetts Ave.) is open Monday 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Tuesday -- Thursday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

On Mondays and Wednesdays, adults ages 60 and older can enjoy fresh lunch meals prepared on-site. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the Council on Aging will continue to offer nutritious heat-and-serve meals.

  • All lunch meals are available at the Cambridge Senior Center, 806 Massachusetts Ave., Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. – 12:15 p.m.
  • Seniors can eat in the Senior Center Dining Room, taking home their heat-and-serve lunch on Tuesdays and Thursdays, or picking up a “Grab n Go” cold lunch to eat at home.
  • Meals are free (a suggested donation of $3.00 is appreciated).

To reserve or cancel a meal, please call the Council on Aging at 617-349-6047 by 11:00 a.m. two business days before your meal request.
