The Office of Workforce Development (OWD) offers a variety of youth employment programming and services. We provide services for Cambridge residents starting at age 14 through the summer after they finish high school. Teens can apply to our various programs or reach out to us to schedule individual job search support.
Our programs include:
- Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP), a paid six-week summer jobs program for high school students and rising 9th graders, age 14+
- Several school-year paid STEAM internships: Science Research Mentorship Program (SRMP), Innovators for Purpose (IFP), Media Arts Internship
- Youth Employment Center: an office at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) where OWD’s youth team supports teens with preparing resumes as well as searching and applying for jobs and internships.
