REPORT TYPE	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Norfolk Street for a disturbance involving an intoxicated pedestrian who was struck by a bicycle while standing in the road. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and the cyclist declined medical attention.
08/26/2018 11:41 INCIDENT 18005991 TRAFFIC INVESTIGATIONS	CAMBRIDGE STREET Officers responded to Cambridge Street for a report of a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at a very low speed and did not knock the pedestrian to the ground. The driver was cited for Failure to Yield to Pedestrian in a Crosswalk.
08/26/2018 12:12 INCIDENT 18005993 LARCENY FROM BUILDING c266 S20	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a theft of the contents of a tip jar by an unknown male suspect. The suspect is described as a skinny white male between 40-50 years of age, approximately 5’11”, wearing a red bucket hat, red button-down shirt, blue jeans, and dark sunglasses. The suspect fled the store on a black mountain bicycle in the direction of Harvard Square.
08/26/2018 12:24 INCIDENT 18005992 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	GORE STREET A resident of Gore Street reported that her bicycle was stolen when she left it unsecured and unattended outside her house sometime between 11:00 a.m. and 12:25 p.m. The bicycle is described as a black Trek Verve step-through model.
08/26/2018 12:53 INCIDENT 18005994 SHOPLIFTING BY ASPORTATION c266 S30A	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A Central Square business reported that two unknown suspects took numerous items without paying and fled the store. One suspect is described as a white male between 35-40 years of age, brown hair in a bun and facial hair, approximately 6’2” to 6’4”, a prosthetic leg on his right side, wearing a black t-shirt and black hat, and carrying a red bag. The other suspect is described as a heavyset black female around 45-50 years old, about 5’4”, with short gray hair and wearing a blue dress.
08/26/2018 13:13 TRAFFIC 18005995 TRAFFIC INVESTIGATIONS	GREEN STREET Officers responded for a motor vehicle crash involving a resident of Allston and a resident of Cambridge. A vehicle struck a cyclist on Green Street, sending the cyclist over the hood of the vehicle and into the windshield. The cyclist was evaluated by ambulance staff on scene, but refused treatment.
08/26/2018 13:34 INCIDENT 18005996 LARCENY FROM BUILDING c266 S20	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers responding to a Massachusetts Avenue business for a theft of a tip jar located an individual who had been seen with the suspect. This individual was identified and eventually sent on his way.
08/26/2018 14:44 INCIDENT 18005997 SHOPLIFTING $250+ BY ASPORTATION c266 S30A	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A Central Square business reported a shoplifting of a computer router. The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male wearing a sleeveless red t-shirt and gray and pink pajama-type pants. The suspect fled onto the outbound platform at the Central Square train station and could not be located.
08/26/2018 16:28 INCIDENT 18005998 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	GENERAL LOCATIONS IN CAMBRIDGE An individual visiting Harvard Square left her cell phone on a bench in front of a Massachusetts Avenue establishment and found it to be missing when she returned. The phone is described as a black Samsung Galaxy J3.
08/26/2018 20:09 INCIDENT 18006002 OUI-LIQUOR C90 S24	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Robert Ventresco, 37, 115 Dotty Street, Waltham, was placed under arrest for Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Liquor after rear-ending a vehicle stopped at a traffic light on Massachusetts Avenue.
08/26/2018 20:10 INCIDENT 18006001 MOTOR VEH, LARCENY OF c266 S28	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A delivery driver reported his scooter stolen from outside of a Massachusetts Avenue restaurant. The scooter, which is described as a black Genuine Rough House 50 cc model with a Rough House sticker, was left outside for about five minutes around 8:10 p.m. when it was stolen.
08/26/2018 20:21 INCIDENT 18006003 THREAT TO COMMIT CRIME c275 S2	BROADWAY Officers responded to Broadway and Columbia Street for a report of a verbal argument in which threats were made.
08/26/2018 21:32 INCIDENT 18006004 REGISTRATION SUSPENDED / REVOKED, OP MV WITH C90	BROADWAY A resident of Cambridge was summonsed to court for Operation of a Motor Vehicle With Registration Suspended and Defective Motor Vehicle Light.
08/26/2018 22:24 ARREST 18006005 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	SPRING STREET Officers responding to a 911 hang-up call were met by Jarod Bryan, 20, homeless, who stated that he had a warrant and wanted to turn himself in. The warrant, which was out of Somerville District Court, was confirmed, and Bryan was placed under arrest. The charges are Larceny Over $1200 and Resisting Arrest.

08/25/2018 01:36 INCIDENT 18005969 RECKLESS OPERATION OF MOTOR VEHICLE c90 S24	CONCORD AVENUE A criminal complaint was filed against a resident of Worcester for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, and Operating a Motor Vehicle With License Revoked. Citations were also issued for Failure to Stop at a Red Light and Speeding. The defendant crashed her vehicle after a chase on Walden Street and was transported to the hospital for evaluation along with a passenger.
08/25/2018 06:25 INCIDENT 18005972 B&E DAYTIME FOR FELONY c266 S18	NORTH STREET Officers responded for a larceny in progress at a construction site on Northpoint Boulevard. The reporting party, a worker at the site, observed an unknown male inside the site loading copper welding leads onto a cart. The suspect fled the site when confronted by workers. He is described as a skinny white male with dark hair and a beat-up face wearing a gray t-shirt and jeans. The copper leads were left behind by the suspect.

08/25/2018 11:14 INCIDENT 18005975 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	REGENT STREET A resident of Cambridge reported his bicycle stolen from the corner of Massachusetts Avenue and Arrow Street in Harvard Square. The bicycle, which was unlocked at the time of the theft, is described as a gray 2016 Trek FX-Disc with a red water bottle cage on the frame.

08/25/2018 14:59 INCIDENT 18005977 LARCENY FROM PERSON c266 S25	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE A resident of Cambridge reported a larceny of his wallet and cell phone between 11:00 p.m. August 24 and 1:00 a.m. August 25 on Green Street.
08/25/2018 16:35 ARREST 18005978 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Nicholas Sugrue, 25, 35 Hillsdale Road, Medford, was placed under arrest after a brief foot pursuit for warrants out of Somerville District Court (Larceny Over $1200) and Middlesex Superior Court (Armed Robbery, Larceny From Building, Receiving Stolen Property Over $1200, Larceny of Motor Vehicle).

An unknown suspect struck and damaged the vehicle between 11:15 a.m. and 4:35 p.m. and did not leave their information.
08/25/2018 18:16 INCIDENT 18005980 CRIMINAL HARASSMENT	CAMBRIDGE STREET Officers responded to an assisted living facility on Cambridge Street for a report of an individual trespassing after notice.
08/25/2018 18:36 INCIDENT 18005981 B&E NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY c266 S16	HENRY STREET A resident of Henry Street reported that an unknown suspect attempted to break into her residence through a side window. The screen had been cut. The victim does not know when this occurred, but believes it may have been in the last few days. Entry was not gained by the suspect and nothing is missing at this time.
08/25/2018 21:52 INCIDENT 18005985 BOMB CHEM OR BIO THREAT, FALSE C269 S14	MEMORIAL DRIVE Cambridge Police, MIT Police, State Police, and Cambridge Fire responded to the MIT campus for a bomb threat. Cambridge Police bomb technicians cleared the area with the help of K9s. No explosive devices were located and the scene was rendered safe.
08/25/2018 21:58 INCIDENT 18005982 MISC. REPORT TYPE	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Officers responded to Massachusetts Avenue and Mount Auburn Street for a report of a male waving a firearm out of a vehicle window. Officers stopped a motor vehicle matching the description given. No firearms or items of note were located in the vehicle. The operator was identified and released.

08/24/2018 01:56 INCIDENT 18005938 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	PLYMOUTH STREET At 9:10 a.m., a resident of Cambridge came to the police station to report his bicycle stolen. A breaking and entering in progress was reported at the victim’s address by a neighbor at 1:56 a.m., but officers were unable to find anything missing. The victim’s roommate spoke with officers after the call but did not wake the victim. The bicycle, a silver model, was taken from the third floor porch. The neighbor who made the initial call observed someone putting a bicycle into a van.
08/24/2018 04:52 INCIDENT 18005934 ATTEMPT TO COMMIT CRIME c274 S6	BROOKLINE STREET Officers responded to a Brookline Street residence for a report of an attempted breaking and entering. The residents were alerted to the suspect’s presence by motion-activated backyard lights and a security system camera.
08/24/2018 08:19 INCIDENT 18005936 IDENTITY FRAUD	EUSTIS STREET Two residents of Cambridge reported being the victims of identity theft. They discovered fraudulent charges on their credit card accounts and are missing a watch and financial contracts.
08/24/2018 08:51 INCIDENT 18005940 B&E NIGHTTIME FOR FELONY c266 S16	WATSON STREET A resident of Watson Street reported the theft of a backpack containing a MacBook Pro 15” laptop, $50 in cash, a charger, two bank tokens, a hospital ID, and possibly two credit cards. The victim stated he believed that he left his front door unlocked. Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s cameras captured a possible suspect carrying the victim’s backpack away from his residence at approximately 5 a.m.

08/24/2018 09:19 INCIDENT 18005941 DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY +$1200, MALICIOUS C266 S12	GERRYS LANDING ROAD The security manager of a school reported graffiti sprayed on several interior and exterior parts of the building.
08/24/2018 09:25 INCIDENT 18005943 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	JEFFERSON STREET A resident of Cambridge reported that his vehicle had been struck and damaged while it was parked on Jefferson Street between 12:45 a.m. and 9:15 a.m.
08/24/2018 10:05 ARREST 18005942 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	CAMBRIDGE STREET Richard Wheeler, 58, 9 Chester Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest on warrants out of Somerville District Court for Malicious Destruction of Property Over $1200, False Fire Alarm, and Disorderly Conduct.

A wallet containing credit cards and $200 in cash was stolen. Several purchases have been made on the credit cards.
08/24/2018 12:14 INCIDENT 18005945 MOTOR VEH, LARCENY OF c266 S28	CAMBRIDGE STREET A resident of Cambridge Street reported her rental vehicle stolen from a handicap space near her residence between 6:30 p.m. on August 23 and 12:15 p.m. on August 24. The doors were locked and the victim was in possession of the keys.

A black male suspect in his twenties with black shorts, a white t-shirt, long sideburns, and an afro-style hair grabbed the victim’s bag out of her shopping cart at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Concord Lane.

08/24/2018 18:57 INCIDENT 18005956 LARCENY UNDER $1200 c266 S30(1)	ELIOT STREET A resident of Allston reported his bicycle stolen from Eliot Street between 1:00 and 2:30 a.m. on August 21. The victim left the bicycle propped up against a building, walked a short distance, and sat on a set of stairs nearby talking with friends. When he returned, his bicycle was gone. The bicycle is described as a 1970s single-speed model with a brown mahogany frame, ripped seat, and rear black fin.
08/24/2018 19:13 ARREST 18005957 WARRANT ARREST REPORT	GILMORE STREET Kassy Depina, 21, unknown, was placed under arrest on a Cambridge District Court warrant for Attempt to Commit Crime to wit Breaking and Entering in the Nighttime with the Intent to Commit a Felony. The warrant was in regards to the attempted breaking and entering that occurred at approximately 4:52 a.m. on Brookline Street.

08/24/2018 21:20 INCIDENT 18005964 LEAVE SCENE OF PROPERTY DAMAGE c90 S24	WALDEN STREET A resident of Walden Street reported hit and run damage to his vehicle, which was struck while parked outside his home between 11:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The suspect left a note with a phone number to call, but the number was found to be out of service.
08/24/2018 22:43 INCIDENT 18005966 DRUG, POSSESS CLASS A c94C S34	MASSACHUSETTS AVENUE Members of the Cambridge Police Department arrested Theodore Babbitt, 35, 15 Claremon Street 2, Somerville, on a warrant out of Somerville District Court for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle. Babbitt was additionally charged with Possession of a Class A Drug after a powdery substance found in his pocket tested positive for fentanyl or methamphetamine.
