Officers responded to the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Norfolk Street for a disturbance involving an intoxicated pedestrian who was struck by a bicycle while standing in the road. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital for minor injuries and the cyclist declined medical attention.

An employee of a Massachusetts Avenue business reported a theft of the contents of a tip jar by an unknown male suspect. The suspect is described as a skinny white male between 40-50 years of age, approximately 5’11”, wearing a red bucket hat, red button-down shirt, blue jeans, and dark sunglasses. The suspect fled the store on a black mountain bicycle in the direction of Harvard Square.

A Central Square business reported that two unknown suspects took numerous items without paying and fled the store. One suspect is described as a white male between 35-40 years of age, brown hair in a bun and facial hair, approximately 6’2” to 6’4”, a prosthetic leg on his right side, wearing a black t-shirt and black hat, and carrying a red bag. The other suspect is described as a heavyset black female around 45-50 years old, about 5’4”, with short gray hair and wearing a blue dress.

Officers responded for a motor vehicle crash involving a resident of Allston and a resident of Cambridge. A vehicle struck a cyclist on Green Street, sending the cyclist over the hood of the vehicle and into the windshield. The cyclist was evaluated by ambulance staff on scene, but refused treatment.

Officers responding to a 911 hang-up call were met by Jarod Bryan, 20, homeless, who stated that he had a warrant and wanted to turn himself in. The warrant, which was out of Somerville District Court, was confirmed, and Bryan was placed under arrest. The charges are Larceny Over $1200 and Resisting Arrest.

A criminal complaint was filed against a resident of Worcester for Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Failure to Stop for a Police Officer, and Operating a Motor Vehicle With License Revoked. Citations were also issued for Failure to Stop at a Red Light and Speeding. The defendant crashed her vehicle after a chase on Walden Street and was transported to the hospital for evaluation along with a passenger.

At 9:10 a.m., a resident of Cambridge came to the police station to report his bicycle stolen. A breaking and entering in progress was reported at the victim’s address by a neighbor at 1:56 a.m., but officers were unable to find anything missing. The victim’s roommate spoke with officers after the call but did not wake the victim. The bicycle, a silver model, was taken from the third floor porch. The neighbor who made the initial call observed someone putting a bicycle into a van.

Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s cameras captured a possible suspect carrying the victim’s backpack away from his residence at approximately 5 a.m.

The bicycle is described as a 1970s single-speed model with a brown mahogany frame, ripped seat, and rear black fin.
