Cambridge Police responded to the Brookline Street residence for the report of a male attempting to steal a bike. Upon arrival, an Officer observed the male striking a bike lock with a shovel. Officers placed under arrest Richard Smith, 54, 444 Harrison Avenue in Boston, for Defacing Property and Attempt to Commit a Crime.
