CAMBRIDGE ST
Multiple Cambridge Police Officers responded to the intersection of Cambridge Street and Max Ave for a report of a disturbance involving a firearm. Upon arrival officers spoke with all parties involved and learned there was no firearm involved and the individuals were engaged in a verbal dispute and had physically assaulted each other by spitting on each other. After speaking with all involved, they all went their separate ways.

INMAN ST
Cambridge Police responded to Inman Street and Bishop Allen Drive for a suspicious person. As a result of the call for service, Russell Giacchetto, 54, 39 Winford Way in Medford, was placed under arrest for a warrant issued out of Somerville District Court for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. In addition, Giacchetto was charged with Carrying a Dangerous Weapon for being in possession of a set of brass knuckles during the arrest.

Richard Payne, 46, 5 Kimball Court in Woburn, was arrested at Western Avenue and Franklin Street on a charge of Intimidation of a Witness. Payne threatened to kill a female should she decide to testify in an ongoing court case with an acquaintance of Payne's.

A Somerville resident reported a past assault and battery, which took place in front of a grocery store in Porter Square at approximately 5:30 p.m. The victim was walking on the sidewalk in front of the store when an unknown male approached him from the Somerville side of the parking lot. The male kicked trash at the victim and then punched the victim in the back. The victim ran into a nearby store for safety. The suspect left in an unknown direction.
