Active Shooter Training Exercise on November 17th

Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

We wanted to make sure residents, particularly those in East Cambridge, were aware of an upcoming training exercise that will be taking place Thursday morning inside the CambridgeSide mall. Residents should not be alarmed by the increased public safety presence in the area during this exercise.


WHAT:
              Cambridge First Responders, Massachusetts State Police, and CambridgeSide Public Safety to Conduct Active Shooter Training Exercise

WHERE:           CambridgeSide, 100 CambridgeSide Place, Cambridge, MA

WHEN:              Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The actual exercise is expected to take place between 9-10 a.m. There may be minor traffic impacts in the area.


WHO:
               Cambridge Police, Cambridge Fire, Cambridge Emergency Communications, Pro EMS, Massachusetts State Police, and CambridgeSide Public Safety


ABOUT THE TRAINING:
Cambridge Police, Cambridge Fire, Cambridge Emergency Communications, Pro EMS, Massachusetts State Police, and CambridgeSide Public Safety will conduct an active shooter training exercise at CambridgeSide to practice communication and coordination among First Responders regarding emergency preparedness and response.
