Police responded to a business on the 800 block of Somerville Avenue for a report of a male party shoplifting. Kevin Whyte, 39, unhoused, was placed under arrest for shoplifting. Whyte also had 14 active warrants out of Quincy, New Bedford, Fall River and South Boston District Courts.
