Officers were on patrol in the Central Square area when they saw several parties on bicycles going the wrong way on the road. Officers stopped one party who attempted to leave. The bicycle that party was riding was found to be stolen. Matthew Marujo, 31, of Somerville MA, was arrested for recieve stolen property +$1200.

A resident from Worcester came into Cambridge Police to report the theft of their tools from a construction site located on Hancock Street. Two tools were stolen sometime between 12/20/24 and 12/31/24.

Cambridge resident reported that, on January 11, 2025, while working at a Prospect Street business location and during a verbal disagreement, a coworker threatened to kill him. No weapon was seen or reported. A report was taken.

Cambridge Police responded to a Porter Square business for a report of shoplifting. The reporting party stated that the shoplifter was wearing the stolen merchandise. A male party later identified as Richard Souza, 37, OF Boston Ma, was placed under arrest for shoplifting by asportation.

CLIFTON ST
Police responded to the 0 block of Clifton Street to investigate a report of gunshots in the area. Officers located an adult male victim with gunshot injuries outside. The individual was transported to the hospital with life threatening injuries where they were pronounced deceased. The incident is under investigation.
