HANCOCK ST & MASSACHUSETTS AVE
An officer on patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation at the intersection of Massachusetts Ave and Hancock St. During the stop it was learned that the vehicle had it's registration revoked for lack of insurance, did not have a valid inspection sticker, and had defective equipment. The vehicle was towed and the registered owner, a Brighton resident, will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on related charges. |

Police responded to the 600 block of Main Street for a bicycle larceny. A Cambridge resident stated that their unlocked bike was stolen while they were inside a local business. Officers were unable to locate the bike in the area, a report was taken. |

The involved person, later identified as Richard Alves, 38, of Boston, was found to have an active warrant out of Woburn District Court. Alves was subsequently placed under arrest. |

Staff reported that an individual had taken an estimated $30 in food from a buffet without paying and later returned to the store to take more items. The individual provided a fake name to officers and was subsequently placed under arrest for shoplifting. During the booking process the male was identified as David Lewis, 60, of Arlington. |

A police officer on patrol on the 1400 block of Massachusetts Ave interacted with Michael Hyppolite, 42, Unhoused. It was learned that Hyppolite had active warrants out of Cambridge District Court and he was subsequently placed under arrest. At the time of the arrest and subsequent search, it was discovered that the suspect was in possession of two credits cards under names other than his. Hyppolite will face an additional charge of Receiving Stolen Property. |

Officers on patrol learned an individual had contacted CPD about their vehicle which had been stolen out of state and was believed to be in Cambridge. Officers made contact with the victim who was tracking the vehicle in real-time as it travelled through the city. Using this information, officers were able to locate the vehicle at the intersection of Western Avenue and Memorial Drive where they conducted a motor vehicle stop. The operator, subsequently identified as Bilal Ozaki, 25, of New Jersey, was placed under arrest on a charge of Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle. |

Police were flagged down for an active disturbance inside of a business on the 600 block of Massachusetts Ave. Upon arrival, Officers witnessed Irving Santiago, 54, of Cambridge forcefully push a security guard with both hands. Officers immediately placed Santiago under arrest and charged him with one count of Assault and Battery. Another party who was involved in the disturbance, a Lenneth O'Neal, 47, of Cambridge was found to have an active warrant out of Dorchester District Court. O'Neal was arrested without incident. |
