LINCOLN ST & WINDSOR ST
Police conducted an investigative motor vehicle stop at the intersection of Windsor St & Lincoln St after an inquiry showed a vehicle's license plate was registered to a different vehicle. It was learned that the vehicle operator / owner, identified as a Cambridge resident, had illegally attached false plates and that the vehicle was not properly registered or insured. It was also learned that the operator did not possess a valid driver's license. The vehicle was towed and the operator / owner will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on related charges.

Police responded to Brattle St. after a maintenance worker reported finding a plastic glove full of an unknown white powder. Cambridge Fire Hazmat responded to the location and tested the substance, the results were inconclusive. CFD took possession of the unknown substance for proper disposal and area was deemed safe.

Police responded to a report of a crash between a motor vehicle and a cyclist on the 1400 block of Cambridge St. The cyclist was transported to a local hospital for treatment of injuries sustained. The driver was cited for failure to yield.

Police took a report for a past robbery on the 600 block of Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party stated an individual approached them and took $40 from their pocket. The individual then threatened the reporting party to not talk about a separate incident.

Police responded to a shoplifting on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave. A store employee reported an individual attempted to steal clothing valued at $12 and a purse valued at $50. The employee was able to recover the clothing but the suspect fled with the purse and could not be located.

Police responded to a shoplifting on the 300 block of River St. A store employee reported an individual stole 4 packs of teeth whitening strips valued at $212. The individual fled prior to the arrival of officers and could not be located.

Police responded to an assault on the 300 block of Rindge Ave. Two victims claimed two unknown males approached them and accused them of leaving needles around before striking them in the face. Both victims were evaluated by EMS and declined to be transported to a hospital. Officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate the individuals.

Police took a report for a stolen moped at the intersection of Douglass St & Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party claimed their moped is valued at $1500 was taken from outside a restaurant. An officer on patrol spotted a moped matching the description nearby shortly after the incident and attempted to stop it, however it fled and could not be located.
