    MASSACHUSETTS AVE
    Police conducted a motor vehicle stop on the 0 block of Bishop Allen Drive for observed driving offenses. During the stop it was learned the operator, identified as Adrian Penido, 35, of Westwood, had their driver's license suspended due to a prior OUI. As a result, Pendio was placed under arrest on a charge of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a License Suspended for OUI.

    Police responded to the 0 block of Langdon Street to take a report for malicious destruction to a motor vehicle. The victim reported their vehicle had been keyed in multiple locations with words etched into the hood.

    Police responded to the 0 block of Clary Street for the report of a larceny in progress. A suspicious person, later identified as Michael Venuti, 43, of Boston, was seen by a resident in the area attempting to break a bicycle lock with a rock. Venuti also had possession of a ladder which officers learned was stolen from a nearby hardware store. Venuti was subsequently placed under arrest on charges of Shoplifting by Asportation, Attempt to Commit a Crime, and False Information following Arrest. It was also learned that Venuti had an active warrant out of Somerville District Court.

    Police responded to the 0 block of Tenney Street to assist the Cambridge Fire Department with a wire down across the roadway. It was learned that a large box truck had caught the wire, ripping it out as it passed causing damage.

    Police took a report on the 600 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a larceny of a scooter. Victim stated they'd locked their scooter, valued at $594, to a sign post while inside of a business and when they returned it had been stolen.

    Police responded to the 100 block of Main Street for report of a suspicious person attempting to gain entry to a building. The security supervisor stated an unknown person was stopped trying to open locked exterior doors. The suspect told security they owned the building before fleeing the area prior to the arrival of officers.

    Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation at the intersection of Concord Ave and Wheeler St. During the stop it was learned the driver did not possess an active driver's license. The vehicle was towed and the driver will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

    Officers observed an individual, later identified as Deanna Beaucher, 38, of Boston, walking down a public sidewalk in Central Sq. actively drinking from an open bottle of wine. During the interaction it was learned Beaucher had an active warrant from Boston District Court. Beaucher was subsequently placed under arrest for public consumption of alcohol and for a warrant.

    Police responded to the 0 block of Brattle Square for a report of an unattended bag. The bag was inspected by the EOD team and determined not to be hazardous. The bag was taken back to the police station where it was properly tagged for safekeeping.

    SOMERVILLE AVE
    Police responded to the 800 block of Somerville Avenue for a shoplifting in progress. Store staff stated a male and female were observed not paying at self-checkout. The suspects were stopped by officers outside the main entrance of the store with multiple bags containing stolen merchandise valued at $337. Officers placed the pair, identified as Erin Splaine, 36, of Allston, MA and Ryan Mortimer, 42, of Boston, MA under arrest on charges of Shoplifting $250+ by Asportation.
