Police responded to a shelter on the 400 block on Green Street for the report of a fight. It was learned that a client became physically confrontational with staff after they were unable to find lost property. The suspect fled the area prior to the arrival of officers and could not be located.

While on-scene of a fight at a shelter on the 400 block of Green Street, officers took a report for a past assault which involved the same suspect as the earlier incident.

Officers were flagged down along the 700 block of Massachusetts Ave by a shopkeeper stating a male had just stolen a $19 pair of sunglasses. After a brief foot chase officers were able to stop the suspect, identified as Jorge Palacios, 33, of Somerville, who actively resisted attempts to place him into handcuffs. Palacios was ultimately placed under arrest for one count of Shoplifting by Asportation, one count of Resisting Arrest and one active warrant out of Boston.

Police responded to the Porter Square Shopping Center to take a past hit and run report. A motorist reported they'd been involved in a crash with another vehicle near the intersection of Concord Ave and Blanchard Rd. The other vehicle did not stop to exchange paperwork, the motorist was transported to an area hospital for an evaluation.

Police responded to the 0 block on Walden Square to take a report for a past larceny. The victim stated a family member had broken into their apartment while they were away and stolen a puppy along with other miscellaneous items.

Police responded to the 200 block of Alewife Brook Pkwy for a past shoplifting report. A store employee reported that a suspect who is a repeat shoplifter stole an estimated $50 in merchandise.

Police responded outside of a business on the 400 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a shoplifting that had just occurred. A store employee stated that two suspects had entered the store and stolen $120 in clothing. Officers were unable to locate the suspects in the area.

Police responded to a shelter on the 400 block of Green St for a disturbance. Officers observed a male, identified as Dashrathai Patel, 56, unhoused, arguing with staff and attempting to physically assault another patron. Patel was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct.
