    Police responded to a report of a disturbance on the 700 block of Massachusetts Ave. A store staff member reported an individual who had previously been trespassed entered the store. When the staff member informed them that they were trespassed, the individual physically assaulted them, the proceeded to break a shelf and price-tag frame valued at $65. While exiting the store the suspect threw two candy bars at the employee. The suspect was gone from the area when officers arrived.

    While on patrol, officers observed a disturbance at the intersection of Massachusetts Ave & Pearl St. As officers mediated the disturbance they recognized an individual known to them, Krystal Scott, 43, of Cambridge, and confirmed her to have 3 active warrants out of Cambridge District Court. Officers subsequently placed Scott under arrest.

The reporting party stated they observed an individual gain access to a bike shed by breaking a window with a steel cutting tool. The reporting party was able to scare the suspect away before officers arrived.

    Police responded to a report of theft from a motor vehicle at the intersection of Avon Hill St & Linnaean St. The reporting party claimed their vehicle would not start and when they attempted to jump-start, they discovered their battery was missing.

    While on patrol officers observed a motor vehicle partially obstructing a posted handicap spot on the 600 block of Green St. An inquiry of the vehicle revealed the registration was revoked for lack of insurance. The vehicle was towed and the owner, a Cambridge resident, will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for one count of Uninsured Motor Vehicle on a Public Way.

    Police responded to a shoplifting on the 2200 block of Massachusetts Ave. The reporting party claims an individual had stolen a liquor bottle valued at $43. Officers located the individual, they were identified and the bottle was returned to the store.

    Police responded to a report of a crash between a motor vehicle and a bicycle at the intersection of Howard St & Western Ave. The bicyclist reported minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. The operator of the motor vehicle was cited.

    Police responded to a shoplifting on the 0 block of JFK St. A store employee claimed the suspect had stolen candy valued at $35 from the store. Officers were able to locate the suspect, identified as Steven Humphrey, 39, of Hyde Park, and bring them back to the store. Humphrey then attempted to flee while officers were confirming his information but was stopped by an officer. Humphrey was subsequently placed under arrest on charges of Shoplifting by Concealing Merchandise and Resisting Arrest. It was later learned that Humphrey had three outstanding warrants from courts in Boston.

    Police responded to assist EMS on a well-being check outside a shelter on the 200 block of Albany St. The subject of the call, later identified as James Doherty, 63, of Cambridge, denied the need for assistance but proceeded to stand in the middle of the street impeding traffic, take a fighting stance toward responders, and repeatedly call responders as well as shelter staff racial slurs. When Doherty refused to stop his tumultuous and disruptive behavior he was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

    Police responded to a report of a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian on the 0 block of Orchard St. The reporting party stated while crossing the street a motor vehicle's driver's side mirror hit their left arm. The contact was hard enough that the driver's side mirror folded inward. The operator rolled down the window and stated they didn't see the reporting party. When the reporting party told the operator to pull over so they could exchange information, the operator ignored their request and drove off. The reporting party declined the offer to be evaluated by EMS.

    Police interacted with two individuals on the 600 block of Massachusetts Ave. One of the individuals, identified as Stephanie Ortiz, 46, of New Bedford, was arrested on a default warrant out of New Bedford District Court.

    Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash with injuries on the 1600 block of Massachusetts Ave. It was learned that a taxi with one passenger had veered from the travel lane to the side of the road where it struck a pole. The driver was unresponsive and taken to the hospital by EMS, the passenger declined to be evaluated or transported to a hospital.

    Police responded to a report of threats with a weapon on the 0 block of Cameron Ave. The reporting party claims they had told an individual driving a motorized scooter at a high speed to slow down. The individual threatened to cut the reporting party and stated they had a Glock 9 and a license to carry.
