    Police took a report of a malicious destruction at a parking garage on the 0 block of University Rd. The reporting party claims a group had broken the parking garage barrier arm when attempting to exit the garage.

    Police took a report of a larceny on the 0 block of Magnolia Ave. The reporting party claims that an unknown suspect had broken the lock, valued at $60, on their bike and fled the area with their bicycle, valued at $775. The reporting party also claims that their bicycle bag, valued at $50, was attached to the bike frame.

    Police took a report of a larceny on the 0 block of Jay St. The reporting party claims that they had locked up their bike, valued at $700, to the railing of their front door steps and placed a black tarp over it. Upon returning to the front railing, the reporting party observed the cable lock was cut and their bike was stolen.

    Police took a report of shoplifting on the 200 block of Alewife Brook Pkwy. The reporting party claims an individual stole a soap, bread, and beverages valued at $100. Officers were able to stop and identify the suspect. The merchandise was returned and an employee formally trespassed them from the store.

    Police responded to an individual attempting to steal an electric scooter on the 0 block of Central Sq. Officers arrived on scene and located the suspect as well as the scooter. the scooter had its seat and wheel removed and near it on the ground. As a result, Officers placed Javier Padilla, 47, of Malden under arrest for defacing property and attempt to commit a crime.

Upon returning to the bike rack after work, the reporting party observed that the scooter was gone and the lock had been pried open.

The lock is valued at $110 and the scooter is valued at $800.

    Police responded to a report of a dog struck by a vehicle on the 0 block of Wheeler St. The reporting party claims that their dog was struck by the rear tires of a vehicle. The operator looked out of their window, indicating their knowledge of something being struck. However, the vehicle took off without giving their information. The reporting party took their dog to the vet for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash.

    While patrolling the 0 block of Temple St, officers conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. An investigation revealed that the operator had stolen the motor vehicle. As a result, officers placed Derrick Rosefort, 23, of Brockton, under arrest for one count of Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Operating a MV with a Suspended License. The motor vehicle was towed.

    Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle that had crashed into a building on the 600 block of Cambridge St. The operator of the vehicle claims that they thought they had parked their vehicle but it had rolled away from the spot and crashed into a building.
