On Thursday, May 15th the Cambridge Police hosted our Community Stakeholders Event at The Foundry on Rogers St. Organized by the Family & Social Justice Section, this event is an opportunity for various civic groups, community members and business leaders to come together in a discussion of various topics related to our local criminal justice system.
Speakers at this session included a segment on Restorative Justice with local mediator Chandra Banks, an update from Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan, and a presentation on the CPD’s new Body Worn Camera Program from Deputy Superintendent Peter Vellucci along with other members of the Procedural Justice Unit.
Before and after the speakers made their presentations, members of the Command Staff, various officers and professional staff were on-hand to speak individually with those in attendance to answer any questions or concerns.
