    Police responded to the 400 block of Franklin Street for a larceny report. The reporting party stated that a bicycle valued at $400 had been stolen and the $25 lock had been cut.

    MASSACHUSETTS AVE & SIDNEY ST
    Officers on patrol in the area of Massachusetts Ave and Sidney St. conducted a motor vehicle stop after they observed a vehicle with no license plates attached. During the stop it was determined that the operator, Jefferson Cardoso, 35, of Philadelphia, Pa did not have a valid driver's license. In addition the vehicle was unregistered and uninsured. The vehicle was towed and Cardoso was placed under arrest on related charges.

    Police took a larceny report on the 100 block of Pleasant Street. Victim stated that their vehicle was entered while parked in their driveway and a wallet containing $200 cash, a driver's license and credit cards was stolen. Since the theft there have been several unauthorized purchases using the cards at retailers in Porter Sq.

    Police responded to Brattle Street for a motor vehicle crash involving a bicycle. The cyclist was evaluated on scene by EMS and refused transport to a hospital. The operator of the motor vehicle was issued a citation.

    Officers responded to the 2300 block of Massachusetts Avenue to take a report of a package theft. Victim stated the package was stolen from the lobby of their building and contained $208 worth of clothing.

    Officers responded to Mt. Auburn St. near Aberdeen Ave on a report of a disturbance. An MBTA Transit Police Officer on patrol had observed a male, later identified as Paul Ankude, 65, of Cambridge, striking a male with a stick. The MBTA Officer stopped Ankude until Cambridge Police arrived. It was learned that Ankude had damaged yard decor and a flag at a nearby residence before interacting with the victim. Cambridge Officers placed Ankude under arrest on related charges, it was also discovered he had an active warrant from Cambridge District Court.

    Police responded to the 200 block of Franklin Street for a past breaking and entering into a motor vehicle report. The victim reported their glove box was left open and multiple items, including keys and a credit card, had been stolen.

    Police responded to Massachusetts Avenue and Norfolk Street to assist public works crews who were attempting to remove an estimated 30-40 trash bags that had been piled on the sidewalk. An unhoused male will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court after he'd became confrontational with officers and DPW workers. The male threw trash at those involved, including inside of a DPW vehicle.

    Officers observed a male throwing multiple full bags of garbage at the door of the Central Sq. Substation. The same individual threw another bag of trash on a marked police cruiser. The individual then walked away from officers in the middle of traffic on Massachusetts Ave with another bag of trash in his hand. Officers stopped the male, identified as Edward Swanson, 63, Unhoused, and placed him under arrest for Defacement of Property and Disorderly Conduct.

    The reporting party stated that they observed an individual wearing a black shirt leaving the building with a suspected stolen bicycle. Officers were able to locate this individual and confirmed that the bike was stolen. The bike was seized, the suspect was identified as a Braintree resident and will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on related charges.
