Police responded to a business located at 2XX Alewife Brook Parkway on a report of a shoplifting in progress. Store staff reported that an unknown male had entered the store, taken an estimated $20 - $30 in food from a buffet and left without paying.

Police interacted with a female later identified as Melissa Crescente, 40, unhoused after observing her engaged in suspected drug activity at the intersection of Pleasant Street and Green Street. Officers learned Crescente was in possession of heroin and gabapentin. As a result, Crescente was placed under arrest on charges of Possession of Class A Substance and Possession of a Class E Substance.
