    Police placed Robert James, 60, of Cambridge, under arrest for a warrant out of Boston District court. James and another individual were having an argument on the sidewalk. Upon investigating the altercation it was found James had an active warrant for his arrest.

    Police officers arrested Derek J. Lydon, 43, of Waltham after it was discovered that he stole a merchandise item from a store in Central Square. A store employee observed Lydon conceal an item, then proceeded to exit the store without paying. Lydon was located and placed under arrest. Following a search incident to arrest, it was discovered that Lydon was in possession of seven debit/credit cards and a Massachusetts Driver's license that were all issued to other people, leading to an additional charge.

    Officers on patrol conducted a motor vehicle stop for an observed violation. During the stop the operator, identified as Jefferson Gutierrez, 31, of Cambridge, showed signs of being under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Officers conducted standard field sobriety assessments and subsequently placed Gutierrez under arrest on related charges.
