It’s graduation season and over the past couple weeks CPD officers have been busy assisting with multiple commencement ceremonies and related celebrations.
The last week in May was marked by commencement exercises at both Harvard University and MIT. During these events our officers worked alongside our law enforcement partners with Harvard University Police and MIT Police Department to safeguard the ceremonies and related events.
Last week marked the graduation of our public high school, Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. CPD has a close connection to many CRLS graduates through our Youth Resource Officers and various community programs. Many past CRLS Graduates have gone on to join our team as Police Cadets, Police Officers, or non-sworn professional staff.
We recognize that these milestones can bring a lot of visitors to our community and hard earned celebrations. To all the graduates, the CPD would like to extend our congratulations on your accomplishment and wish you the best in your future endeavors. To all those who are celebrating we encourage you to do so safely and responsibly.
