Police responded to a business at the 700 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a shoplifting in progress. The individual was stopped and identified, all items were returned and the business clerk trespassed the individual.

MAIN ST Police responded to a report of theft by false pretenses. The victim stated that they paid $1870.00 dollars in advance for a rental apartment. However, upon arrival to the apartment the agent they had been communicating with was unreachable and did not have any affiliation with the apartment.

A Harvard St resident reported receiving text messages pertaining to their cell phone account. An unknown person had gained access to the victim's account, changed the victim's phone number, and was now demanding money to retrieve for the victim's information.

A person reported a theft of items in the area of Harvard Square. Victim claims a jacket and a purse containing drug paraphernalia was taken while they slept. Value of the items was reported to be between forty dollars and five hundred dollars.

Police observed a suspected street level drug transaction between two individuals on the 800 Block of Massachusetts Avenue in Central Square. One of the involved parties fled on a moped and was eventually stopped close by. The operator of the moped was identified as Fred Edmondson, 40, of Boston. A search of Edmondson revealed heroine and crack cocaine. It was also discovered that the moped Edmondson was operating was stolen. Edmondson was placed under arrest and will be charged in Cambridge District Court with one count of Possession of a Class A Drug Subsequent- Heroin, Possession of a Class B Drug- Crack Cocaine, Receiving Stolen Motor Vehicle, and Motorcycle Equipment Violation.
