    Officers responded to the 800 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a past assault. The victim told officers of their interaction with an unknown individual. The individual became upset during the interaction then punched and kicked the victim, causing minor injuries.

    Officers responded to report of a past breaking and entering on a construction site on Alewife Park. The reporting party informed officers that over the weekend , an unknown male party was able to gain access to the site and steal numerous construction tools and materials including a laptop worth around $5,000 and tools worth around $10,000.

    Officers responded to the intersection of North First Street and Morgan Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving a bicyclist. The bicyclist told officers that they stopped at a stop sign and when they were proceeding through the intersection a vehicle struck them.

    Officers responded to 1400 block of Massachusetts Ave for a past shoplifting. A witness told officers that they saw the suspect take a sweatshirt with a retail value of $97 and walk out of the store without paying for it.

    A Cambridge resident was summoned for an incident that occurred on 7/3 on the 200 block of Rindge Ave. Victim stated that a known individual had made verbal threats to physically harm them, placing them in fear.

    Officers responded to the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue for female, identified as Julie Barros, 67, of Cambridge, that had been stopped by employees for shoplifting. Officers were able to identify Barros as the suspect in five previous shoplifting incidents at the location. During a search of Barros, two pills in clear plastic bags were discovered on Barros' person. Barros admitted to the drugs being Gabapentin. Barros was placed under arrest for larceny under $1,200 and possession of Class E drug.

    Officers were flagged down for a shoplifter on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue. An employee told officers that a suspect left the store without paying for a basketball valued at $14.99 and a pack of gum valued at $1.89 for a total value of $17.82 after tax. The individual was identified and the store did not want to pursue any charges.

    Officers observed a shoplifter in a store on the 500 block of Massachusetts Avenue. The shoplifter, Danielle Henry, 30, of Worchester, was viewed on camera by a store employee putting multiple items into a lunch box and attempting to leave the store without paying. Henry stole other items from the same store earlier in the day. Officers stopped Henry outside the store where she gave a false name. After being placed under arrest it was discovered that Henry had an active warrant out of Roxbury District Court.

    Officers responded to the 300 block of River Street for a report of a past shoplifting. The reporting party showed CCTV footage to officers of an unknown individual taking three drinks, putting the drinks in a cooler, and leaving the store without paying for the items.

    Officers responded a business on the 600 block of Massachusetts Avenue for a report of shoplifting in progress. Upon arrival, officers met with the reporting party who stated that a female party walked into the store and put multiple art supplies, valued at $45.96, in her bag and attempted to walk out without paying. The reporting party stopped the female party and brought her back inside where she returned half of the merchandise and ran out of the store with the other half.

    A Cambridge resident approached officers to file a fraud report. The resident stated they were scammed of $1,000 dollars after sending money to different parties claiming to be a real estate company for a unit on the 700 block of Concord Avenue. After sending the money, the resident never heard from any of the parties again.

    Officers responded to Henry Street for the report of a possible breaking & entering in progress. Officers located a suspect, later identified as Nirael Simmons, 29, of Dorchester. Following an interaction with Simmons he was arrested on several related charges.

    Officers responded to Longfellow Park for a reported attempted break and entering. A Cambridge resident reported that an individual who had previously caused issues with trespassing was seen that evening on the property. The resident reported that a door was damaged.
