    A Dorcester resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court for motor vehicle offenses following a traffic stop near the intersection of Massachusetts Ave and Front St. Officers conducted the stop for an observed violation and discovered the operator did not have a valid driver's license, the vehicle was towed.

    An employee of a liquor store on Alewife Brook Parkway reported that a suspect who appeared under age stole alcoholic beverages with a retail value of $14. When two store employees approached the suspect outside the store they were physically assaulted and one had their phone, valued at $1,000, stolen. The store owner later called the cell phone, and the suspect answered, stating they were going to return and physically fight the employees.

    A Cambridge resident reported that while biking on Inman St. near the intersection with Massachusetts Ave they were struck by a vehicle. The vehicle continued down Inman St onto Mass Ave without stopping. The cyclist sustained a minor injury.

    A resident of Fresh Pond Pkwy reported an attempted identity theft. An unknown individual called, posing as a bank employee and attempted to have the reporting party transfer $15,000. The reporting person recognized the scam and ended the call before making the transfer.

    Ashlee Smith, 36, of Cambridge was placed under arrest for Possession of a Class B Substance in Central Sq. Officers observed Smith attempting to light an unknown object at the entrance to a local library. During the interaction Smith was found to be in possession of two baggies containing a white rock substance, believed to be crack cocaine.
