Police were dispatched to the intersection of Inman Street and Broadway for a crash between a motor vehicle and scooter. It was reported the scooter operator had gone through a red light and into the path of the vehicle. The scooter operator was transported by EMS to a local hospital for treatment.

FRANKLIN ST & WESTERN AVE A Cambridge resident will be summonsed to the Cambridge District Court on a charge of Possession of a Class B Substance. Officers observed this individual in a local park smoking a white rock like substance, believed to be crack cocaine, from a glass pipe.

Jake Gearin, 27, of Cambridge was placed under arrest on a charges of Shoplifting by Asportation and Possession of a Class A Substance - Subsequent Offense. Officers responded to a River St. business for a shoplifting and were directed by store staff to Gearin who they reported had stolen $82 in merchandise. Gearin was also found to have suspected fentanyl on his person.

Sheryl Rogers-Middleton, 63, of Cambridge was placed under arrest and a Malden resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on charges related to the Possession of a Class B Substance. Officers in Central Sq. interacted with the pair after they'd been observed completing a suspected street level drug transaction.

Taquan Anderson, 34, of Cambridge was placed under arrest for a warrant out of Waltham District Court. Officers interacted with Anderson in North Cambridge when a neighbor reported Anderson had slapped them after they'd asked him to move his vehicle as it was blocking a fire hydrant.
