International Overdose Awareness Day 2025

International Overdose Awareness Day is the world’s largest annual campaign to end overdose. This year’s theme is “One Big Family, Driven by Hope.”

In honor of this day and the strength we have through our communities, we will come together to hold space for those who wish to honor their loved one’s memory through speech, art, and community on Thursday, August 28, from 1:30-4 p.m., in front of Cambridge City Hall, 795 Massachusetts Avenue, to recognize and honor the lives lost to opioid overdoses.

The following Cambridge organizations will gather, along with the community, for this event and also offer harm reduction and health promotion materials:
