    A Boston resident will be summonsed to Cambridge District Court on a charge of Shoplifting by Asportation. An employee of a business on the 500 block of Massachusetts Ave reported the suspect had stolen $30.23 of merchandise.

    A Columbia Terrace resident that they were threatened by an unknown individual. The victim stated they had accidentally clicked on a spam link and started getting spam text messages. The messages quickly escalated to violent threats for money.

    Kevin DeMello, 62, of Cambridge was placed under arrest on a charge of Assault & Battery on a Police Officer and Shoplifting by Asportation. DeMello was seen stealing a bottle of mouthwash from a business on the 600 block of Massachusetts Ave. When officers attempted to speak to him, DeMello hit the officer in the chest.

    Cheryl Clark, 55, of Cambridge was placed under arrest on charges of Trespassing, Possession of a Class A Substance, and Possession of a Class B Substance. Tommy Clark, 42, of Cambridge was placed under arrest on charges of Trespassing, Possession of a Class B Substance, and Possession of a Class E Substance. Officers observed Tucker and Clark in a private parking lot, attempting to light a glass tube that is commonly used to smoke crack cocaine.
