CPD Welcomes New Cadet, Announces 2025 Cadet Exam

This summer, the Cambridge Police Department welcomed Samantha Ayala as our newest Police Cadet. A graduate of Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, Samantha has deep roots in the community and is fluent in Spanish. While participating in the Cadet Program she is currently enrolled at Bunker Hill Community College where she is pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice with the goal of someday joining our ranks as a Cambridge Police Officer.

Interested in a career in public service? The Cambridge Police Cadet Program is a paid, benefitted, full-time employment position geared toward young adults 18-23 years of age.  Cadets have the opportunity to experience a variety of roles in the police department and gain firsthand experience that will be useful in building a career. Former police cadets have gone on to have careers as CPD Officers, Emergency Communications Dispatchers, Emergency Medical Technicians, CFD Firefighters and other public service roles.

The next Police Cadet Exam is scheduled for Saturday, November 15th. See the Job Posting: Click Here
