Earlier this morning CPD Officers placed a juvenile under arrest on charges related to a stabbing that occurred Saturday evening on Columbia St. in the vicinity of Clement G. Morgan Park. An investigation conducted by CPD Detectives determined that the stabbing occurred during an altercation between individuals who are known to each other. This is believed to have been an isolated incident; there is no broader threat to the community. The victim continues to recover from their injuries.

On the evening of Saturday, October 25th CPD Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a person had been stabbed in the vicinity of Clement G. Morgan Park on Columbia St. A male victim was transported by EMS to a local hospital where their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
