This afternoon, 32 students and 6 staff from the Turn 2 Foundation’s Jeter’s Leaders program visited the Cambridge Police Department as part of their Massachusetts college and career tour.
The group had a chance to hear from members of Crime Scene Services, the Crime Analysis Unit and members of our Leadership Team about their roles in the police department. This included information on careers in law enforcement, both for sworn officers and professional staff.
Founded by the legendary New York Yankees shortstop and baseball hall of famer Derek Jeter, Jeter’s Leaders is leadership development program created to empower, recognize and enhance the skills of high school students. While Cambridge may be in the heart of Red Sox nation, it was an honor to put aside our baseball differences and unite with the Yankee great to support these future leaders.
