    Abdul Ahmed, 52, of Somerville, was arrested on multiple charges related to the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, shoplifting, unlawful possession of controlled substances, and a warrant out of New Hampshire. Police responded to an Alewife Brook Pkwy business for a report of a shoplifting. Store staff reported Ahmed had stolen $34 worth of merchandise and fled. Officers stopped Ahmed nearby, he was found to have a loaded firearm without a License to Carry, Suspected Fentanyl, Suspected Crack Cocaine, and prescription pills on his person.
