Cambridge Police responded to the 600 block of Main Street for a ShotSpotter Activation and possible shots fired. Officers checked the area for evidence and nothing was located during the initial response or a follow-up response later in daylight.

Stephen Culbertson, 36, 10 High Street in Somerville, was arrested at Massachusetts Avenue and charged with Assault By Means of a Dangerous Weapon and Resisting Arrest after brandishing a box cutting instrument during an encounter with a uniformed police officer. Culbertson was also found to have a warrant out of Boston District Court for the charge of Receiving a Stolen Motor Vehicle.

Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Cadbury Road at Sherman Street for a cyclist struck by a motor vehicle with injury. The cyclist was transported with minor injuries and the driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian.

A Cambridge resident came to the police station to report that her vehicle was involved in a hit and run leaving property damage sometime between the end of June and mid-July while she was away. Damage was done to the passenger's side and rear of her car.

A Medford resident called CPD to report his bike stolen from a locked storage garage in Technology Square. He still has photos of the suspect along with a thumb drive, which shows the theft take place.

An employee of a small market in Cambridge called to report a shoplifting. The suspect stole two bottles of French brandy. The employee states that they have the entire theft captured on surveillance camera.

A Cambridge resident called CPD to report identity fraud. She answered a telephone call because the number appeared on her caller ID as "Cambridge Police 617-349-3300." The caller said he was with the Social Security Administration and was working with CPD on an investigation involving her SSN.

Police responded to New Street for a report of a suspicious person who was witnessed by a Cambridge Police Officer stealing a bicycle from a bike rack. A 39-year-old homeless man from Cambridge was summonsed for Larceny Under $1200 after admitting to taking the bike from a bike rack.
