Cambridge Police responded to the intersection of Broadway and Gallio Way after a bicyclist was 'doored' by a passenger exiting a ride share. The bicyclist complained of minor leg pain, but refused medical treatment on-scene.

On August 11th,2022, at approximately 10:46 AM, Cambridge Police responded to a Centre street residence to take a report of a hit and run with property damage. According to the reporting party and a witness, a vehicle struck their unoccupied parked car in between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on that day. No injuries. See narrative for further details.

Specifically, on August 5, 2022, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a motor vehicle crashed into the garage door and fled the scene without providing notice and/or exchange information. There were no reported injuries.

Cambridge Police were conducting a routine patrol in the area of Massachusetts Avenue at Putnam Avenue. Officers observed a motor vehicle in the area and conducted a traffic stop. The owner/operator currently had a Massachusetts Driver's License status suspended. As a result, the motorist from Waltham was issued a summons for Operating after License Suspension.

AUBURN ST
Cambridge Police responded to a resident on Auburn Street for an assault in progress. As a result of the investigation, it was concluded Raymond Santiago, 45, 196 Auburn Street in Cambridge, threw a glass bottle striking a female party in the head causing minor injury. As a result of these events, Santiago was taken into custody for Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. While the investigation was taking place, officers received information that another suspect may have possibly brandished a knife and threatened Santiago with it during the course of the argument. As a result, they will be summonsed for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.

A resident of Cambridge was summonsed to court for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on a public way. This was a result of a traffic stop and going through a red light at the intersection of Broadway and Galileo Way. Upon being stopped, it was determined that the driver’s license revealed it had expired on 7/16/2022.

Cambridge Police responded to Willow Street on a report of a person with a knife. Futher investigation showed there was no person with a knife and a report for harassment was taken.
