When analyzing the serious crime totals of July 2021 versus the previous month of June, there has been a minor decline of 2% in the number of index incidents, with five fewer crimes reported. Analysis of the crime totals between January 1 and August 2, 2021 indicates that while violent crimes recorded a temperate 4% uptick when compared with last year, property crimes climbed upward 10% with 117 additional crimes reported when compared with the first seven months of 2020.
