When analyzing the serious crime totals of August 2023 versus the previous month of July 2023, there has been a slight rise of 2% in the number of index incidents, with five additional crimes reported. Analysis of serious crime statistics for the first eight months of 2023 points to an increase of 21% in the Part One index total for Cambridge when compared with the same time frame in 2022.
