Cambridge Police discovered two dogs inside of a motor vehicle not in operation and the owner(s) not present. Due to the weather (31 degrees), it was determined that the dogs were the subject of negligent care by the owners. The owners failed to provide them with proper shelter and protection from the extreme weather conditions. As a result, two residents from Winthrop will be summoned to court for Animal Cruelty.

Sabrina Claudio, 36, 250 Kendall Street in Cambridge, was placed under arrest after throwing a hot cup of coffee into an employee’s face. The victim reported that Claudio became enraged after not getting the right amount of sugar in her coffee. Claudio then began to cause a scene and grabbed a hot cup of coffee and threw it at the employee.

Officers were dispatched to a Broadway market place located at Broadway for a report of a man down. Cambridge Fire and Professional EMS were on scene upon my arrival. The party being checked on was identified as James Hook, 55, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge. Hook was cleared medically from the initial call for service as he was just "taking a nap" and was mobile and alert. While clearing, officers learned Hook may have active warrants. After they were confirmed, Hook was taken into custody and charged with warrants out of Cambridge and Somerville District Court.

Cambridge Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit and Cambridge Fire Department responded to Cambridgepark Drive for a report of a suspicious package that was sent from another state to the resident. The resident indicated the box was sent from a previous relationship, who is no longer in the state and found it odd a package was sent. After Cambridge Police performed several procedures, the package was cleared of any harmful substance and the area was cleared. The resident kept the items in the package as they were mementos from their past history.

One of the involved people, Gale Lewis, 66, 117 Rindge Avenue in Cambridge, was taken into custody after a query was made that revealed Lewis had multiple warrants out of Cambridge District Court for Assault and Battery on a 60+/Disabled and Trespassing.
