A former employee of the City of Cambridge went to City Hall to voice his complaints over not receiving a proper retirement party. He reportedly has done this several times, which is frightening the staff. Today, he left prior to police arrival. Staff was informed on how to obtain a no trespass order against this individual.

A Cambridge resident was summonsed and charged with Operation after Suspension, after he was stopped by officers for going through a stop sign. A check of his license revealed that the driver had a suspended license.

James Hook, 48, 240 Albany Street in Cambridge, was arrested in a Mass Ave store, as he was wanted for two warrants – Larceny over $250 and Shoplifting by Asportation – out of Cambridge District Court.

ALEWIFE BROOK PKWY
Cambridge Police responded to a food market for a report of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian. Upon arrival, police saw a Honda Civic parked with its nose just into a parking spot and a person sitting on the ground in front of the car. Officers approached the woman and asked if she was injured. She stated that she was not, but wanted to get checked out to make sure. The driver was approached and he stated that he was pulling into the parking spot when he struck the pedestrian. He stated he never saw her because the sun was obscuring his vision. A report was taken.

It was reported to the Cambridge Police that at the Kendall Square MBTA station, a male placed two suspicious items in barrels. It was later determined that the barrels did not contain anything but trash.

Andrew Craddock, 24, 75 Ainsley Street in Dorchester, was arrested on two warrants out of New Bedford District Court and Waltham District Court following a stop by loss prevention officials at a local retail establishment for shoplifting.

Members of the Cambridge Police Special Investigations Unit arrested Phillip Collins, 54, 805 Mount Auburn Street in Watertown, charging him with Distribution of a Class B Substance within 300 Feet of a School, and Allison Carroll, 50, 2552 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge, charging her with Possession of a Class B Substance. Detectives conducting surveillance in the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Washburn Avenue observed the two meet in the rear of a building and engage in activity consistent with drug distribution. Carroll was stopped and found to be in possession of a number of percocets, which she had just purchased from Collins.

A Medford resident reported the loss of her pocketbook. A suspect had found it and used credit cards to make over $1,200 in fraudulent charges earlier in the day.
