Everett Goss of 240 Albany Street has been placed under arrest after stealing a Pro Ambulance from a local hospital. Tonight at approximately 5:08 p.m., Cambridge Emergency Communications received a call from Pro Ambulance Dispatch that one of their ambulances was just stolen from a local hospital and was stopped at the traffic lights at Cambridge and Third Street. A Cambridge Police officer arrived in the intersection in time to observe the ambulance moving on Third Street towards McGrath Highway. The officer was able to position himself in front of the ambulance at Gore Street, where the ambulance came to a stop. The officer exited his cruiser and order the operator to put the ambulance in park and turn it off. The operator attempted to comply, but the ambulance lurched forward into the cruiser causing minor damage. Goss was placed under arrest without further incident. Goss will be charged with Larceny of a Motor Vehicle and Operating Without a License.
