A business in Central Square reported being the victim of credit card fraud. The business manager stated that a former employee (who was terminated in April 18, 2014) is believed to have made fraudulent purchases on or about 10/7/13-4/14/14, which totaled $9,738.85 using the company's credit card account.

COOLIDGE AVE
Jose Garcia-Cales, 30, 38 Blue Hill Avenue, Dorchester, was charged with Distribution of Class A Drug - Heroin, Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Drug and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Complaints were to be sought against a Cambridge resident for Possession of Class A Drug - Heroin and Conspiracy to Violate Drug Laws. Detectives were conducting surveillance in the West Cambridge area and observed Garcia-Cales and another suspect engage in behavior consistent with a street level drug transaction. A stop on the Cambridge resident resulted in the recovery of three bags of a light brown substance believed to be heroin. A stop of Garcia-Cales  revealed 19 bags of an off-white substance, in addition to various folds of U.S. Currency.
