A Cambridge MA, resident reported that her jacket was stolen while she was inside a lounge on Massachusetts Avenue. The stolen jacket was valued at $5,000 and also contained money and a passport. No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Cambridge Police units were dispatched to Erie street on an incident type package; a black backpack had been placed on the sidewalk next to a tree. There were no threats or any other reason to suspect that the package was anything other than abandoned property. The bag was examined and inside personal property containing no hazards was discovered. The scene was cleared and the bag and its contents were placed in property by me.

Keesha Danyell Vickers, 40, 172 Mulberry Street, Brockton MA, was arrested for a Larceny over warrant. A witness observed Ms. Vickers steal an item from a department store in Harvard Square just moments prior to a Police Officer’s encounter with Ms. Vickers. Subsequently, Ms. Vickers was found to be in possession of over $4, 800 worth of stolen items.
